Israel is increasing security: a thousand new shelters will be built

Amidst the tension between Israel and Iran, new strikes every day, ongoing air attacks, and armed clashes, the Israeli government continues to consider protecting its citizens a top priority. Recently, at the suggestion of the Ministry of Defense and the Home Front Command, a plan was approved to repair 500 public bomb shelters and to build a thousand mobile shelters across the country. The new shelters will mainly be directed to dangerous central areas that have been shelled by Iran several times in recent days. The shelters to be repaired will also be allocated to the districts with the greatest need in order to ensure the safety of people. The total cost of the project is estimated at $28.6 million.

Recent events and military operations

On June 13, the Israeli government accused Iran of conducting a secret military-nuclear program and launched a counter-operation. As a result, Israel carried out air strikes and raids on atomic facilities, nuclear physicists, air defense systems, and other strategically important sites.

Iran, in turn, emphasizes that its nuclear program is not for military purposes. IAEA head Rafael Grossi and US intelligence have also reported that there is no reliable evidence that Iran is trying to create nuclear weapons. However, Israel and the US are not stopping accusations and political pressure.

Mutual strikes and increasing number of casualties

Both sides are exchanging air raids and missile strikes, damaging not only military and strategic objects, but also residential areas of the civilian population. According to Iranian officials, more than 220 people have been killed in the country, and 2,800 have been wounded. Iran’s ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, said the number of victims is approaching 300. In Israel, more than 20 people have died, and more than 1,200 have been injured to varying degrees.

Alternative scenarios and security measures

The Israeli government has stated that it will not stop its military campaign until the destruction of the nuclear program is achieved. Tehran, in turn, openly declares that it will continue to respond with missile attacks if Israeli bombings do not stop. This increases the likelihood that the war will soon move to a new, unlimited phase.

The new mobile shelters and repaired public shelters are expected to play an important role in ensuring the safety of the population. The Israeli government is taking all measures to ensure that residents can protect themselves in any dangerous situation by building shelters in various regions and cities.
