In the autonomous community of Valencia, Spain, near the settlement of Ponton Requena, a major tragedy occurred on August 9. According to reports, a small aircraft crashed at approximately 11:30 local time. This was reported by Cadena SER.

According to eyewitnesses, the aircraft was flying at a very low altitude, and within a few seconds an irreparable loss occurred. Emergency services arrived at the scene immediately after the incident.

According to official sources, two people were confirmed dead as a result of the crash. The identities of the deceased have not yet been disclosed, but local media suggest they were likely the only passenger and the pilot of the aircraft.

The investigation involves the Requena Civil Guard, local police patrols, several units of the provincial fire consortium, and the forest fire service. After the crash, aircraft debris fell onto agricultural land, causing a small fire. Fortunately, the fire was brought under control and extinguished in a short time.

At present, the exact causes of the crash are unknown. A special commission and the Civil Guard are conducting an investigation in this regard. Some experts are considering the possibility of a technical malfunction or pilot error.
