In Dubai, the police revealed the theft of a unique fluffy diamond worth 25 million dollars.
During the search, three members of the criminal group were arrested, reports WAM agency.
The owner of the diamond brought it from Europe to the UAE for sale. The criminals, who had planned the theft for over a year, posed as intermediaries for wealthy buyers. To leave a good impression on rich individuals and gain the jeweler's trust, they rented expensive cars and arranged meetings at luxury hotels. The criminals invited the owner to a villa and stole the diamond.
Dubai police responded by quickly creating a task force. Thanks to modern technology and artificial intelligence, they were able to locate the suspects' whereabouts and arrest them within 8 hours.
The diamond was found. The criminals had hidden the diamond in a small freezer and were planning to take it out of the UAE.
