British man searching for disk containing 8,000 bitcoins

A British man claims that one of his lost disks contains 8,000 bitcoins, Mail.ru reported. The current value of this cryptocurrency amounts to billions of dollars.

According to the information, he threw the disk into the landfill in 2013. Since then, he has been asking the local authorities for permission to search the landfill.

It is emphasized that if the disk is found and is operational, the bitcoins on it could make the owner extremely wealthy. However, the authorities are not granting permission for the search due to environmental risks and costs.
