Microsoft has paid its former employee $632,000 (approximately 50 million rubles) in compensation for dismissal. This was reported with reference to information published on the Blind forum, according to Pravilamag.
The name of the specialist has not been disclosed, but it is known that he worked at the IT giant for almost 24 years. After being dismissed, he demanded compensation and an additional reward. Part of the amount was paid for his long-term service record as well as unemployment benefits. The largest portion consisted of $350,000 worth of company shares allocated under the “15/55 Pension Fund Plan.”
The payment sparked mixed reactions on the forum. Some users noted: “For 24 years of service, this is almost nothing, it is sad that we were surprised by this.” Others, however, stated that the company had adequately rewarded the employee on the verge of retirement.
