Since October 2023, at least 240 journalists have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the TASS agency.
According to the statement, since the beginning of the armed clashes, the number of media representatives who have died has reached 240.
In addition, on August 4, more than one hundred journalists from leading global media outlets signed a petition demanding unrestricted access to Gaza. The document emphasizes that free and independent entry of foreign journalists into the enclave is necessary not only to document war crimes, but also to prevent distortion of the truth about the conflict.
The statement also adds that if the journalists' demand is ignored by the Israeli government and the leaders of Hamas, media representatives may attempt to enter Gaza without any official means.
