Israel launched a rocket attack on the Nasser hospital in southern Gaza. According to local authorities, at least 15 people were killed in the strike. Among them were 4 journalists.
Local residents said the attack was carried out twice. After the first explosion, people were helping the wounded when the second strike occurred. As a result, the number of casualties increased. Rescuers were also harmed at that time. Videos circulating online show people inside the hospital running in panic.
The Israeli army confirmed the strike and announced that an investigation had been launched. They stated that journalists were not specifically targeted. However, the UN and the Committee to Protect Journalists demanded Israel provide concrete evidence.
This incident took place two weeks after a strike near Al-Shifa hospital that killed 6 journalists. The UN strongly condemned such attacks, calling them a violation of international law.
