The Chinese state-controlled company "Dongfang Electric" announced a new project: it is planned to install a prototype offshore wind turbine with a capacity of 26 megawatts. This made it the most powerful and largest wind farm in the world.
Once connected to the grid, this turbine will have the capacity to generate 100 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. This volume will allow for a stable supply of electricity to approximately 55,000 households, making a significant contribution to the country's energy system.
This wind turbine is also specifically designed for efficient and uninterrupted operation in maritime areas with wind speeds of 8 meters per second and higher. This situation is important as a strategic project aimed at ensuring future energy efficiency and environmental cleanliness.
The new power plant will not only strengthen China's energy resources but also strengthen its position in the global energy market. At the same time, it will serve as a model for the development of wind energy at sea in the future and large-scale environmentally sustainable projects.
