An unusual incident occurred in the courtroom: former real estate agent Nicholas Walker won a case against his employer due to the placement of his work desk, reported LADBible.
Walker, from Hertfordshire, after being transferred to another branch, found that his desk was placed not at the “back,” where managers usually sit, but at the “middle” desk. He considered this a demotion of his status.
When Walker complained to his boss Daniel Young, he was told in response that this opinion was “nonsense.” The conflict escalated, and Walker submitted a resignation letter, but later changed his mind. Nevertheless, the employer refused to take him back and accelerated his dismissal.
The court ruled in favor of the employee and ordered him to be paid compensation of 28 thousand dollars (approximately two and a half million rubles).
