Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that relations with the United States have never been stronger. He made this statement during a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jerusalem.
Rubio said that President Donald Trump was unhappy with Israel’s strike on Qatar, but stressed the strength of US–Israel relations. Qatar condemned the attack and announced it would convene an Arab-Islamic summit.
The Israeli army continues to bomb residential buildings in Gaza City. According to local sources, dozens of apartment blocks have been destroyed, and hundreds of thousands of people are being forced to move south.
The Palestinian health ministry reported that many people were killed in the latest strikes. The UN has warned that the situation in Gaza could deteriorate further.
