One of China's largest zoos made a surprising decision: now visitors cannot show chimpanzees TikTok or other videos through mobile phones. This was reported by South China Morning Post.
According to reports, a chimpanzee nicknamed Din-Din, who lives in the park, has been watching various videos through visitors' mobile phones for some time. However, the administration emphasized the need to distance the monkey from "digital content" to prevent damage to its vision.
According to experts, a chimpanzee, like a human, can have a negative impact on eye health when looking at the screen too much. For this reason, the administration installed a special prohibition sign to protect the animal and asked visitors not to show videos to the monkey.
The decision does not provide for punitive measures. That is, if someone shows a video to a monkey on their phone, they will not be officially fined or punished. However, zoo staff strongly warn visitors, reminding them that the health of religion should be the top priority.
