It has been reported that US President Donald Trump is likely to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in New York next week. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told the press about this in Tel Aviv.
As is known, a week of high-level meetings will be held on September 22-30 within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. Various meetings and dialogues are planned within the framework of this forum, in which the leaders of the countries of the world will take part.
Marco Rubio emphasized that Donald Trump is making every effort to stop the ongoing war in Ukraine. "He is doing everything in his power to resolve this conflict," the Secretary of State said.
Rubio also recalled that Trump had several telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and had several face-to-face meetings with Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy. "Perhaps another meeting will take place in New York next week," the head of US diplomacy added.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side has not yet officially confirmed the possibility of a new meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy. This further increases interest and questions in the international political arena.
