Internet completely shut down in Afghanistan: Reasons and consequences

The interim government in Afghanistan completely shut down the internet across the country on September 29.

According to the NetBlocks organization, internet connectivity dropped to almost zero at around 20:10 Tashkent time. The shutdown was justified as "protecting public morality."

Additionally, this situation caused at least eight flights at Kabul airport to be canceled, and phone communications and satellite television were also cut off.

The interim government has not made an official statement about this situation
