During a special operation in Turkey's Ushaq province, several Iranian citizens suspected of drug trafficking were detained. This was reported by the country's anti-drug department.
According to reports, more than 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine were confiscated from the suspects during the operation. Part of the substance was found at their place of residence, while the remaining part was attempted to be transported in the peritoneum.
According to official data, the operation was based on intelligence data related to the import of drugs from Iran to Turkey. During the surveillance, it was established that three suspects arrived from Iran at Adnan Menderes Airport in Izmir and then took a taxi to Ushoq Province.
The detainees were taken to the hospital for medical examination. X-ray examination revealed the presence of methamphetamine capsules in their stomach. The court ordered the detention of Iranian citizens.
