Vladimir Putin spoke about labor migrants in Russia

During a conversation with journalists in Dushanbe, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his opinion on the need for labor in the country, the activities of migrants, and the issue of compliance with laws.

He emphasized that Russia currently needs labor resources in various sectors, but this process must be carried out within the framework of order and law.

"Russia is interested in labor, but it is important that it meets our needs. At the same time, labor migrants must live in conditions befitting human dignity and strictly comply with our laws and regulations. I always emphasize that they must be law-abiding," Putin said, answering journalists' questions.

At the same time, the head of state touched upon some problems in this area.

"Of course, there are problems. Russian citizens are also paying attention to some circumstances. "First of all, we must take into account the interests of our compatriots," he added.

The Russian leader also commented on the results of negotiations with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on October 9. According to him, more than one million citizens of Tajikistan currently live and work in various sectors in Russia.

"They work in such actively developing sectors as construction, housing and communal services, transport and logistics. These people are making a huge contribution to the growth of the Russian economy," Putin said.

The President also noted that the Russian government is working to create decent working and living conditions for labor migrants.

According to him, the country considers it an important task not only to use the labor force, but also to ensure its functioning in legal and humane conditions.

Thus, the Kremlin leader once again reminded that the Russian labor market is open, but order and compliance with the law are paramount.
