Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has stated that she may run for president again in the future, leaving the possibility of active participation in the political arena open. The politician made this statement in an interview with the BBC.
Harris emphasized that he is not yet planning to completely withdraw from politics; on the contrary, he noted that serving society is a feeling in his blood.
"I have spent my entire career serving people, and this is in my nature. I can't take it away from myself," he said during the interview.
When asked, "Will you ever be the first woman to run the White House?" Harris replied, "Perhaps." However, he noted that he has not yet made a final decision on whether to be an official presidential candidate or not.
For information, the next presidential election in the USA will be held in 2028. In this regard, Harris said that he is still considering whether to start a new stage in political activity or move in a different direction.
"There are many ways to serve, but I haven't yet decided exactly what to choose in the future," he added.
Harris also responded to opinions that her nomination would be considered insignificant or weak for the Democratic Party. According to him, he relies not on surveys and analyses, but on trust and action.
"If I had only looked at the results of the survey, I probably would never have run for the first or second position. "And now I'm standing here," Harris said.
During the conversation, he also criticized the activities of incumbent President Donald Trump. Harris believes that Trump used federal agencies for personal gain, putting pressure on some business and organization leaders.
"Many people knelt before him even before he returned to power. They wanted to be close to the authorities or avoid responsibility," said Kamala Harris.
As a reminder, in the last presidential election, Kamala Harris received 48.43% of the vote, but Donald Trump won. Therefore, it is now observed that he is seriously thinking about political revenge.
