According to Midcoast Villager, a former resident of Camden, Maine, returned to his hometown to return a library book he had borrowed 46 years ago.
Diana Edwards admitted that this discovery was unexpected. While preparing for the move, he found a children's book. The book Bunches and Bunches of Bunnies, written by Louise Mettyus and directed by Janie Bassett, she once read to her children.
According to the documents, the book was supposed to go on sale on August 10, 1979. "My children and I lived on Pearl Street from the mid-1970s until 1984, when we moved to Vermont. Since then, these rabbits have been traveling with me," he said.
By the way, Edwards was only supposed to pay $5 for this event because he checked the book while the library's old small fines policy was still in effect. Nevertheless, he gave the library staff a cash prize for their understanding.
Amy Hand, director of the library's youth services, said the book is in its original state and will be used again for reading activities.
