Turkish court issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli leaders

A Turkish court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Kas, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israeli Army Commander General Eyol Zamir, and Naval Commander David Salama. This was reported by Anadolu, citing a statement from the Istanbul prosecutor's office.

According to reports, a total of 37 individuals have been charged with "systematic genocide and crimes against humanity" committed during the hostilities in Gaza since 2023.

According to the statement, the circumstances underlying the accusations include the killing of 6-year-old Hind Rajab by Israeli soldiers, the death of 500 people in the attack on the Baptist hospital "Al-Ahli" on October 17, 2023, as well as the deliberate destruction of medical equipment on February 29, 2024, and the bombing of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital on March 21, 2025.

The prosecutor's office also noted that Gaza was completely blocked and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the victims was prevented.

Turkish officials consider this decision a "legal step towards protecting human dignity." At the same time, the Israeli government has not yet made an official statement in response to the accusations.
