A rare case has been recorded in Egypt: it became known that a woman is simultaneously pregnant with nine babies. This was reported by the “Al-Arabiya” source.
During an ultrasound examination, doctors encountered an unexpected picture — it was determined that the woman was carrying not twins, not triplets, but nine embryos at once. This situation caused significant discussion in the medical community.
Experts state that such a situation may have arisen due to the uncontrolled use of medications that stimulate ovarian activity. It was also emphasized that this type of pregnancy carries a high risk for both the mother and the embryos.
The incident shocked both the parents and the doctors. During the examination, when the number of embryos was identified, everyone was astonished.
According to gynecologist Wael al-Banno, this is one of the rarest cases in medicine, where several factors coincide at the same time. In his opinion, with the help of modern medical methods, it is possible to reduce the number of fertilized eggs — this reduces the risk for the mother’s health and improves the conditions for the development of the remaining embryos.
