The leader of the Portuguese national team and Saudi Arabia’s “Al-Nassr” club, Cristiano Ronaldo, took part in a prestigious evening reception held in the US capital and once again became the center of public attention. According to “The Telegraph”, this luxuriously organized banquet was held at the White House on the occasion of the working visit of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the United States.
The main guest of the ceremony was the prince, while from the hosting side US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania took part. A number of high-ranking officials — Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth — were also present at the meeting.
Among the banquet guests were one of the brightest figures in the football world — Cristiano Ronaldo, FIFA president Gianni Infantino, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, as well as American billionaire Elon Musk, which added additional prestige to the event.
During the dinner, Trump did not hide that the arrival of the famous striker at the White House was a significant event for his son as well.
“My son is a devoted fan of Ronaldo. Barron managed to meet him. I can say for sure: now he will respect his father a little more — simply because I introduced them,” the US President said.
