Trump showed an unexpectedly firm position on the Ukrainian plan

US President Donald Trump responded sharply and briefly to journalists' questions about the latest proposal regarding Ukraine. When asked, "Is this your last proposal for Kyiv?" Trump confidently replied, "No." He stated that he intends to ensure peace that "should have been resolved long ago."
The president noted that if he had been in the White House earlier, the current conflict would not have arisen at all. By declaring to the media: "We are still trying to stop this war," he presented himself as a leader striving for peace.
The day before, in an interview with Fox Radio, Trump called November 27th - the eve of Thanksgiving - a "favorable timeframe" for Ukraine to accept the offer. According to him, if the process is going well, there is an opportunity to extend the time.
Trump believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has no "necessary cards" left, so he will have to approve the US proposal. Zelenskyy responded that Kyiv is facing a "very difficult choice." According to him, the decision comes down to choosing one of two options: "a 28-point offer" or "the risk of losing dignity and the main partner."
Russian President Vladimir Putin also reacted to the peace plan developed by the American side, acknowledging that some of its points could serve as a basis for a possible agreement. However, he stated that the text had not been discussed with Moscow and cited "the US cannot obtain Ukraine's consent because Kyiv is against it" as the reason.
Specific changes to the US 28-point plan have not yet been disclosed. However, it is known that European countries are demanding the revision of a number of clauses of this draft. This means that the peace talks will continue for a long time.
