As a result of another Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine, more than one million households were left without electricity. The attacks were mainly aimed at power networks and key facilities. Power outages were reported in several regions, seriously affecting daily life.
According to officials, the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad and Chernihiv regions were hit. Fires broke out in some areas, and at least five people were injured. Emergency services are currently working to restore electricity and deal with the damage.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles were used in the attack. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was also left without electricity for a short time, but supply was later restored. Officials said the plant is now safe.
Against this background, international talks aimed at ending the war are continuing. However, disagreements between the sides remain, and the situation is still tense.
