A free hotel for Kyrgyz pilgrims will be built in Mecca

An important and beneficial project for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan has begun in the city of Mecca. Construction of a new hotel has begun, where Kyrgyz pilgrims and students can stay for free. This was announced by the head of the information policy service of the presidential administration, Dayirbek Urunbekov, reports 24.kg.

It is reported that this initiative is being implemented with the direct support of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov. The new building is intended for Kyrgyz citizens traveling to Saudi Arabia, who will have the opportunity to perform Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages here, as well as receive absolutely free accommodation during their studies.

The project deserves special attention due to its social significance. At the moment, no precise information has been provided on when the construction work will be completed, the amount of funds allocated for it, and the date of commissioning the facility. However, the initiative itself is generating significant public interest.

It should be noted that some countries and national religious foundations already have special accommodations for their pilgrims in Mecca and Medina. Although the Kyrgyz project is unique, it is not a completely new experience. Such practices have been practiced for years in a number of Muslim countries.

In particular, the Lembaga Tabung Haji organization in Malaysia has its own hotels in Mecca and Medina and accommodates pilgrims at preferential prices. In Turkey, the state administration for religious affairs - Diyanet accepts pilgrims through its buildings and long-term leased facilities on relatively affordable terms. In Indonesia, state Hajj missions have large dormitories and long-term contracts. In Iran, some pilgrims are accommodated free of charge or at very low prices through waqf buildings.

From this point of view, the Kyrgyz initiative is distinguished precisely by the model of fully free living. This makes it one of the few such projects in the world and one of the first in Central Asia.

In short, this construction, which began in Mecca, has not only infrastructural but also spiritual significance. It is being assessed as a historic step that will make the Hajj journey easier for thousands of Kyrgyz pilgrims.
