Today, February 25, a Su-30SM military fighter jet crashed in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Defense of the country provided official information about this.
According to the Ministry, the incident occurred during a planned training flight. The cause of the accident has not yet been disclosed.
The report notes that the plane's crew used a catapult in time. The pilots survived, and there is no serious threat to their lives and health.
It was reported that the pilots are currently under medical supervision. The area where the incident occurred is cordoned off for safety reasons, there is no danger to the population and infrastructure facilities.
A special commission was created to determine the causes of the incident and all circumstances. Based on the results of the investigation, a legal conclusion will be issued and a corresponding procedural decision will be made.
