For which countries did Iran open the Strait of Hormuz?

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi announced on Thursday that ships of friendly states were allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This decision covers countries such as China, Russia, India, Iraq, and Pakistan.

The Iranian Consulate General in Mumbai published the minister's words on its post, writing: "We have permitted friendly states to cross the Strait of Hormuz."

This decision is aimed at alleviating regional oil shortages and transportation issues. Earlier, there were reports that a number of economic difficulties were arising in India due to problems with oil supplies.

Now, permission to cross the Strait of Hormuz for friendly countries is expected to serve to improve trade and energy security in the region.
