Iran opened a corridor in the Strait of Hormuz only for selected countries

Iran partially restored the movement while maintaining military and economic control through the Strait of Hormuz. However, this opportunity was not granted to all countries: Tehran allowed only Russian, Indian, Pakistani, Iraqi, and Chinese ships to pass through the strait.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that US and Israeli vessels are still unable to navigate. This indicates Iran's open use of Hormuz as a strategic pressure and geopolitical instrument.
Earlier, international media reported that Iran had made the fare paid for the countries included in the list. Thus, Hormuz is becoming a point of not only military-political, but also economic control.
Nevertheless, the overall movement in the region has not yet been fully restored. According to the latest data, only 15 ships have passed through the strait in recent days, and most of them belong to Iran. This indicates that global supply chains are still not completely stabilized.
Against this backdrop, US President Donald Trump is trying to involve NATO countries in the Hormuz issue. He had previously accused the Allies of not actively participating in this region, warning that otherwise there could be "heavy consequences."
