Trump announced a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump announced the start of a full blockade along the Strait of Hormuz. His statement was made after negotiations between the US and Iran failed.

According to Trump, the U.S. Navy has begun work to intercept and control any vessels attempting to pass through the strait. He also said that he had ordered the inspection and detention of vessels that made "illegal payments" to Iran in international waters.

The president also noted that work has begun to neutralize mines placed around the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, Iran knows well how to resolve the situation, but other countries are also involved in this process.
