An Uzbek citizen died in an explosion during waste loading

An Uzbek citizen died in an explosion during waste loading in the Russian city of Vladikavkaz.

The incident occurred on April 17 at the intersection of Internatsionalnaya Street and Partizansky Lane in the city center. A 46-year-old man died at the scene of the explosion.

The deceased's colleagues reported that he was married and had five children.

Emergency services and law enforcement agencies are currently working in the area. The causes of the incident are being investigated in depth. The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under the article "causing death by negligence."

According to preliminary estimates, the explosion may have been caused by a dangerous or explosive object in the waste. Special services are planning to inspect the waste transport equipment and later remove it to a special landfill.

The head of North Ossetia-Alania, Sergei Menaylo, has urged residents not to throw hazardous materials into regular waste containers, but to hand them over to special services.
