Authorities believe the suspect exploited the delivery system's compensation mechanisms, and a criminal case has been opened.
An unusual case of food delivery fraud was identified in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, and a courier was detained. According to reports, he misappropriated customer orders and instead delivered dishes from other restaurants.
This situation was discovered by chance, and the police officer noticed a discrepancy in his order. The restaurant's name didn't match the information in the app. During the investigation, the suspect's identity was established, and the evidence was confirmed by video surveillance footage and the vehicle.
According to investigators, he used the compensation mechanism in the delivery system to swap orders. Although the suspect initially claimed to have destroyed the orders, some sources suggest he consumed them himself.
