US tightens vetting for Green Cards and visas

Vetting procedures for "Green Cards" and immigration visas have been tightened in the United States, CBS News reports.
According to the information, the Donald Trump administration has introduced additional control measures for certain categories of migrants. The new procedures apply to asylum seekers, those applying for permanent residency, naturalization, as well as applications based on family ties or marriage.
Under the rules, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officers are prohibited from approving applications that have not undergone full vetting. Additionally, all applications will be re-checked through Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) databases.
It is reported that these measures are linked to an executive order signed by Trump in February. At the same time, it is noted that applicants' social media accounts may also be scrutinized to identify "anti-American" views.
As a result of the recent changes, many migration cases have slowed down or been temporarily suspended.
Furthermore, the processing of certain applications for citizens of 39 countries has been frozen due to national security reasons.
