Trump Expresses Readiness to Send Delegation to Moscow

US President Donald Trump has announced his readiness to send American representatives to Moscow to continue negotiations on the Ukraine conflict.
When asked by journalists about the possibility of sending negotiators to Russia, Trump replied: "If I believe it will yield results, I will certainly do it." He also emphasized his desire to end the war between Russia and Ukraine as quickly as possible.
Initiative for Truce and Prisoner Exchange
This statement comes against the backdrop of the Russian side supporting certain initiatives. Specifically, Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, confirmed a positive response to the idea of a ceasefire and a "1000 for 1000" prisoner exchange between May 9 and 11.
Previously, Trump had appealed to both sides, proposing a temporary truce and prisoner exchange during those exact dates. He linked this timeframe to Victory Day, celebrated in Russia.
Moscow Open to Negotiations
Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, also stated that Moscow is not abandoning negotiations on Ukraine and is ready for any initiative that produces practical results.
According to her, the US representatives currently involved in this process are also dealing with other regional issues, including the situation in the Middle East.
