Mercedes-Benz sells all its dealerships in Berlin

It has been revealed that the famous German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has sold all its dealership centers in Berlin. The buyer is reported to be Canadian entrepreneur Kuldip Billan, head of Alpha Auto Group.

According to information released by the Bild newspaper, the deal includes seven branches in Berlin. Approximately 1,500 employees were working at these centers.

Sources say the company plans to sell dealership centers in other major cities such as Hamburg, Munich, and the Rhine-Ruhr industrial region in the future. This decision could affect approximately 8,000 jobs.

It is reported that Berlin employees were informed about the deal via email. They were offered the option of accepting a cash compensation or a one-year job security guarantee. Subsequently, existing employment contracts are planned to be terminated and new ones drafted.
