It is reported that the necessary conditions have been created at the new post for border guards to perform their duties effectively. A barracks meeting modern requirements has been built, and the necessary infrastructure for service operations has been established. In this area, Kyrgyz border guards protect more than 12 kilometers of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.

The opening of the “Sogment” border post is expected to serve to strengthen security in the region, improve border control, and maintain order in neighboring areas. The modernization of such infrastructure in border regions is also important for public safety and practical cooperation between the states.

Earlier, it was reported that from June 18, the “Fergana” border customs post, the “Ok-Kiya” customs point leading to the village of Shakhimardan, and the “Chashma” customs point of the “Sokh” border customs post would switch to a 24-hour operating mode. These processes are aimed at regulating movement in border areas and increasing convenience for citizens.
