One of Turkey’s most popular historical series, “Kuruluş: Osman”, is facing major changes. Burak Ozcivit, who played the main character Osman Ghazi for several years, has left the project. This was reported by renowned Turkish journalist Birsen Altuntas.
According to available information, the seventh season of the series was scheduled to air in autumn 2025 and was expected to cover the final years of Osman Ghazi’s reign. However, financial disagreements between the leading actor and the producers have led to changes in both the script and the storyline.
In the final season, viewers will first see the older Osman Bey, after which the plot will shift to the era of his son Orhan Ghazi’s rule. The main hero’s wife, Bala Hatun, played by Ozge Torer, will remain in the series. She has been part of the project since 2019 and is known as one of the show’s leading roles.
Interestingly, Emre Bey, who previously played the young Orhan, has also left the series. Currently, several prominent Turkish actors — including Mert Yazicioglu, Murat Yunalmiş, and Ibrahim Celikkol — are being considered for the role. As for who will play the older Osman, the name has not yet been announced, but the producers are expected to choose an experienced actor.
