Turkish famous actor and singer Özcan Deniz once again came into the public spotlight. This time, the reason was family and financial disputes. According to Haber Global, his brother Erjan Deniz entered Özcan’s house with a weapon and threatened to kill him due to financial disagreements. The incident occurred in the Zekeriya Köy district of Istanbul.
Erjan Deniz, entering the house, said to Özcan: “If you do not return what you took from me, I will kill both you and myself.” These words show how severe the family conflict is.
The issue originates from a 22-year business partnership between the brothers. Their financial disagreements escalated to the court. Several years ago, Özcan had guaranteed his brother’s debts, but after significant losses in business, bank accounts were seized. For this reason, Erjan accused his brother of embezzling an amount equal to 150 million lira (3 million 650 thousand US dollars).
The family dispute was widely covered on social media. Their mother Kadriya Deniz stated that due to financial problems, the brotherly ties were broken. Özcan emphasized that his family treated him in a manner characteristic of servants and responded sharply. Additionally, the actor stated that his brother was also behind the armed attack on him in 2008.
After the latest events, the parties conducted negotiations with the help of representatives and reached an agreement. As a result, several villas and other real estate were transferred to Erjan’s name. This case drew significant attention among fans and further expanded discussions on family conflict and financial disputes.
