Woody, Buzz, and the whole gang united again! Pixar released the first teaser trailer for the popular fifth film, Toy Story. The film's premiere is scheduled for June 19, 2026, and according to the video, the characters face a new, unexpected threat.
According to the plot, the toys encounter a frog-shaped smart tablet - Lilypad, which significantly complicates their lives. "Lilypad will make game time a real test for Woody, Buzz, Jesse, and others," the studio's press release said. The voice of the new heroine will be actress Greta Lee.
Tom Hanks (Woody) and Tim Allen (Bazz Lightyear) return to their legendary roles. The cast is joined by Conan O'Brien, who voices a new character - "Smart Pants." The film will be directed by Andrew Stanton, who previously directed the films "In Search of Nemo" and "VALL-I." He was also the sole scriptwriter for the project.
Recall that the first "Toy Story" was released in 1995 and revolutionized the world of animation - it was the first full-length animated film with a full-length computer. Since then, the franchise has become one of Pixar's main brands: "Toy Story 3" and "Toy Story 4" each raised over a billion dollars and won an Oscar for Best Animated Film.
