In the latest episode of the “Omon-omon” show, singer Ulug‘bek Yo‘lchiyev—known for several hit songs—appeared as a guest. During the conversation, he was asked about a duet that had been performed earlier but never released as a premiere.
It turned out that Ulug‘bek Yo‘lchiyev performed a duet with Jasur Umirov at Umirov’s concert. Although the song was recorded, it was ultimately not premiered, and some parts were cut.
According to the singer, the situation happened because of a minor misunderstanding. “Yes, let’s say it openly: we sang a duet at Jasur Umirov’s concert, and the vocals were recorded as well. Then Jasur Umirov asked for my photo, saying, ‘If I like it, we’ll release it.’ I jokingly replied, ‘If you don’t like it, then just leave my photo out.’ That was it—after that, we didn’t even talk,” Ulug‘bek Yo‘lchiyev explained.
His remarks also sparked discussions on social media. Fans hope the two singers’ collaboration will still be officially released someday.
