March 8 — On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on awards was published. On the occasion of the holiday, 72 women who have been actively working in various fields were awarded state awards.
The official document states the goal of showing high attention and respect to women, increasing their role and prestige in the life of the state and society, as well as encouraging enterprising women who are selflessly working to build a New Uzbekistan.
Among the awardees is the actress of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Muqaddas Kholikova. She was awarded the Order of "Mehnat Shuhrati".
Muqaddas Kholikova is known as a creator who has been contributing to the development of national theatrical art for many years. She skillfully brought to life people of various images and destinies on stage, winning the love of the audience. Many of the films in which the actress starred are still loved by fans.
