Burak Özçivit blew up the internet by saying that he likes only the series in which he himself starred

Burak Özçivit, well known to fans of Turkish films and TV series, once again visited Russia, and this time his arrival also attracted great interest. On March 2, the famous actor presented the monoplay “The Most Beautiful Girl of Istanbul” to the audience. A day later, he met with representatives of the media and answered various questions.
Among the questions asked at the press conference, the one that caused the most discussion was about which Turkish series Burak himself enjoys watching.
According to Burak, Turkish series are now popular in many countries around the world. However, in Russia they receive a particularly warm reception. The actor explained this by saying that viewers closely relate to the stories, characters and emotions presented in the script. According to him, the events in Turkish screen projects quickly resonate with Russian fans as well, which is why such projects attract great interest there.
After that, Burak Özçivit listed four projects that he likes the most. He named “Magnificent Century”, “Çalıkuşu”, “Love Pain” and “Kuruluş Osman” as his favorite Turkish series. Naturally, this list attracted the attention of many people. This is because all the projects he mentioned were works in which the actor himself had participated.
Among the critics there were comments such as: “Why is there not a single series in the list that he did not act in?”, “The choice seems a bit selfish”, and “He could at least mention one project in which he did not participate”.
Of course, Burak’s fans did not remain silent in response to the criticism. In their opinion, the actor simply mentioned the projects that are closest to him, those in which he invested his work and which hold a place in his heart. After all, for every creator, a work that contains their own effort naturally becomes especially valuable. In this sense, his answer can be seen not as arrogance, but as a sincere choice.
