Sequel to Michael Jackson film officially confirmed

It has been announced that work is underway on a second part of the biographical film "Michael," which is dedicated to the life of Michael Jackson.

Depending on the schedule of the project's director, Antoine Fuqua, filming is planned to begin in 2026 or 2027.

The new installment will continue the events of the first film, covering the later life of the King of Pop. No other details about the film have been disclosed at this time.

The first part, in which the singer's nephew, Jaafar, played the lead role, premiered on April 22.

Despite various controversies and criticism, the film grossed $217 million worldwide, setting a record among musical biopics.

The film also featured actors such as Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, and Laura Harrier. The screenplay was written by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan.

The film is currently being screened in cinemas across Uzbekistan.
