The Central Bank has announced the official exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Uzbek soum, effective from May 1.

According to new data, the US dollar continues to depreciate for the third day in a row. This time, the dollar rate decreased by 13 soums, reaching 12,920.16 soums.

The European currency also maintained the downward trend observed in recent days and depreciated by 38.05 soums. As a result, the new official exchange rate of the euro amounted to 14,681.18 soums.

At the same time, an upward movement was observed in the Russian ruble exchange rate. The ruble appreciated by 0.33 soums, reaching 158.61 soums.


Recall that earlier the Central Bank lowered the dollar exchange rate for two consecutive days, setting it at 12,933.16 soums.

According to experts, such small fluctuations are an indication of stability and equilibrium in the foreign exchange market.
