New doors of cooperation opened between Uzbekistan and Buryatia

New doors of cooperation opened between Uzbekistan and Buryatia
A large-scale meeting was held in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia, to develop bilateral economic cooperation with Uzbekistan. It was attended by Aslam Akbarov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Buryatia, Minister of Agriculture and Food Amgalan Darmaev, and a number of high-ranking officials.

The main topic of the meeting was the expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Buryatia in the fields of agriculture and livestock. Minister Amgalan Darmaev noted that the Uzbek market is very promising and attractive for Buryat farmers. According to him, there is great potential for increasing the export of livestock and meat products. This, in turn, will open up additional economic opportunities for Buryat farmers and serve to further strengthen cooperation with the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov paid special attention to bringing trade and economic relations with Buryatia to a new level, including increasing the volume of deliveries of Uzbek agricultural products to Buryatia and then to the Far East regions of Russia, as well as expanding the possibilities for the delivery of large and small cattle and horses from Buryatia to Uzbekistan.

It was noted that the Memorandum of Understanding between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Government of Buryatia, signed in May last year, determined the prospects for cooperation, especially in the field of pedigree livestock breeding.

The meeting also discussed in detail the issue of supplying high-quality fruit and vegetable products to Buryatia from Uzbekistan and the systematic implementation of this process. In this regard, the Uzbek side put forward a proposal to establish a wholesale distribution center for the reception and distribution of fruit and vegetable products in the territory of Buryatia.

Special attention was also paid to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of education. In particular, proposals were made to expand cooperation in the field of mutual educational exchange and strengthening of friendly relations between students of educational institutions, music and culture schools in Tashkent and Ulan-Ude.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to establish a joint working group to determine practical steps. This working group, with the participation of representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor, will deal with issues related to organizing the supply of large and small cattle to Uzbekistan, introducing Uzbek products to the Buryatia market and organizing a modern wholesale distribution center there.

Such wide-ranging cooperation will undoubtedly raise economic relations between the two countries to a new level and bring significant benefits to the well-being of the peoples. This will be a great impetus for the further development of bilateral relations.
