New bypass road opened in Ishtikhan district

A new 4-kilometer bypass road has been commissioned in the Ishtikhan district of Samarkand region. This was reported by the press service of the regional khokimiyat.
The new road is designed to reduce the traffic load on the streets of the district center and improve transport links with the Mitan village and the M-37 highway. The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Samarkand region Adiz Boboev and First Deputy Prosecutor General Bahriddin Valiyev.
The cost of implementing the project amounted to 40 billion soums. According to estimates, launching the road will reduce the level of traffic congestion in Ishtikhan by approximately 40%, as well as accelerate the transit of goods in the directions of Kushrabat, Kattakurgan and Payariq districts.
Within the framework of construction, a bridge 73 meters long and 15 meters wide was also built. The project includes 3.5 kilometers of cycling and pedestrian paths adapted for people with disabilities, two modern bus stops, and the installation of 155 solar-powered streetlights.
