It has become known how much tax the creator of ChatGPT, OpenAI, and other major foreign IT companies paid to Uzbekistan in the first half of 2025, Uz24.uz reported.
As of July 1, 2025, there are 72 foreign companies providing electronic services registered in Uzbekistan. At the beginning of 2024, there were 55, and by January 1, 2025, there were 63.
In the first half of this year, the volume of services provided by foreign companies amounted to 656.8 billion UZS, up 43% compared to the same period last year (460.0 billion UZS).
The amount of taxes paid to the state budget reached 78.2 billion UZS, a 42% increase (in 2024 — 55.4 billion UZS).
The biggest taxpayers:

Meta (Facebook, Instagram, etc.): service volume — 187.6 billion UZS, tax — 22.6 billion UZS;

Apple: service volume — 184.0 billion UZS, tax — 22.1 billion UZS;

Google: service volume — 166.2 billion UZS, tax — 19.4 billion UZS.
OpenAI (creator of ChatGPT): service volume — 23.9 billion UZS, tax — 2.88 billion UZS.
TikTok — 15.4 billion UZS in services, 1.83 billion UZS in taxes; Netflix — 7.1 billion UZS in services, 896 million UZS in taxes.
Since the beginning of the year, 5 companies have been removed from the register, while 14 new companies have been added.
