
From May 1, 2025 to April 1, 2027, certain families will receive compensation for electricity and gas consumption, nova24.uz reports.
According to a presidential decree, the government will cover the price difference for up to 150 kWh of electricity per month above the base tariff.
Additionally, families will receive compensation for natural gas used over 250 cubic meters during the heating season and over 150 cubic meters during the rest of the year. The National Agency for Social Protection is responsible for timely distribution of these payments.
To qualify, families must meet one of the following criteria:
Receive child benefits or financial aid via the Unified Social Protection Registry;
Be listed as low-income in the official registry;
Not listed, but considered financially poor;
Have a per capita income below 1.5 times the minimum consumer spending level.
