
A citywide cleanup will be held in Tashkent on April 12 and 13, Nova24.uz reported.
All districts will take part in cleaning, landscaping, and greening efforts in residential and public areas. Trees will be planted and courtyards decorated across neighborhoods.
According to the city administration, the initiative reflects a shared responsibility for a cleaner and more comfortable city. Residents are encouraged to participate. Maintaining cleanliness is a tradition of big cities and a sign of respect for Tashkent.
Self-governance bodies must ensure that participation is voluntary. Tasks include landscaping, equipping children's and sports areas, maintaining heritage sites, and repairing cemeteries.
Cleanups are prohibited in the following areas:
• Highways
• Congested streets
• Water bodies and coastal zones
• Construction sites
• Rooftops
• Hazardous industrial areas
