Uzbekistan and Russia sign a program of strategic cooperation in the military sphere
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and Uzbek Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov held a meeting and reached important agreements aimed at further strengthening strategic cooperation in the military sphere between the two countries. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry, Interfax news agency reports.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a plan for the implementation of the Program for Strategic Cooperation in the Military Sphere of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation for 2026-2030.

Uzbek Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov also expressed his sincere gratitude to his Russian counterpart for all the necessary conditions created for the high-level preparation of the Uzbek military contingent participating in the military parade in Moscow and for the attention shown.

In turn, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov also highly appreciated Uzbekistan's role in the fight against fascism during World War II, including its services in material and technical support of Soviet army units and military-technical assistance.

The signed program is expected to serve to raise the military and defense relations of the two countries to a new level, and at the same time contribute to further strengthening security and stability in the region.
