Pavel Durov Details Detention In France
The founder of the Telegram messenger, Pavel Durov, gave his second interview to American journalist Tucker Carlson, nova24.uz reports.

According to Durov, he flew to Paris for a few days to rest and planned to go to Finland. He noted that he spent four days without a phone in a solitary cell without windows.

"Apparently, they made an exception for me regarding food. You know, I don't eat meat or fast food. So they gave me enough fish, and I could do my 200 push-ups and 200 squats in the morning and then repeat the sets. I had no access to a gym," Durov said.

The businessman called his arrest "unnecessary" because the French consulate in Dubai is in the same building as the Telegram office, and Durov would have been "happy" to go down a few floors for a meeting with representatives of the country. He emphasized that there is no censorship in his messenger aimed at political statements.

Furthermore, the developers guarantee 100% privacy to users and do not transfer personal data. The messenger developers had not received any official requests from the French authorities, and when this was pointed out to them, Telegram provided the requested data.

He denied the information that French authorities asked him for encryption keys and stated that they do not exist at all. Durov emphasized that his case has not yet been submitted to court and evidence is still being collected.
