Uzbek national hacked Russian Gosuslugi portal to register migrants
An Uzbek citizen identified as A.R. was detained in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan, on suspicion of organizing fake migrant registrations, upl.uz reported, citing Telegram channel Baza.

A.R. allegedly hacked Russian users’ Gosuslugi accounts and registered foreign nationals at their addresses without their knowledge. He reportedly did this for money, enabling the registration of over 10 migrants.

By the time investigators identified him, A.R. had already left Russia. He later returned, presumably to resume his activities, and attempted to flee again via Moscow to Minsk. He was arrested in Sterlitamak and transferred to Ufa.

A criminal case has been initiated. He is under house arrest, but investigators are seeking to place him in a detention center due to the risk of escape.
