This morning, Sunday, July 14, a fire broke out at one of the production facilities located in the Yunusabad district. The incident was recorded at 07:39 local time. The Ministry of Emergency Situations was immediately notified of the incident.
Six fire and rescue teams were promptly dispatched. They arrived at the scene at 07:44 and began extinguishing the rapidly spreading fire. Thanks to the firefighters' efforts, the fire was fully contained by 08:14. The sole objective was to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby areas. At 08:51, it was officially reported that the fire had been completely extinguished.
According to preliminary information, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. This is considered a positive development, as no one was harmed.
Following the incident, senior officials from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the heads of the Tashkent city and Yunusabad district emergency departments personally visited the scene. They took control of the situation and began investigating the cause of the fire.
The incident generated significant interest and concern among the local population. Early in the morning, residents were already exchanging different rumors. Some speculated it was caused by electrical equipment, while others believed safety protocols had been ignored. However, official sources have not yet disclosed the exact cause of the fire. Therefore, any version remains purely speculative at this stage.
It's well known that in recent months, fires have occurred frequently at various sites in Tashkent. This points to the urgent need for stricter fire safety and prevention measures.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, speed is critically important in such incidents. If help had been delayed by even a few minutes, the fire could have spread over a much larger area, caused significant economic damage, and posed a threat to human lives.
A special investigation has now been launched. Authorities are examining compliance with safety standards in the workshop, the functionality of fire prevention systems, and the preparedness of responsible personnel.
Citizens attempting to take photos and videos at the scene were warned by the police to be vigilant. It was emphasized that such actions can interfere with emergency operations and that safety precautions must be taken seriously.
According to local residents, the facility was large and housed various types of production. Some stated that mainly wood and construction materials were manufactured there – which may have contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
As of now, no official data has been released on the extent of the damage, the destroyed property, or equipment. However, based on the footage, it can be assumed that a large portion of the facility was damaged.
The public is once again reminded of the importance of strictly following safety rules. After all, a false alarm is always better than a real disaster.
In such cases, both the general public and business owners bear significant responsibility. Production facilities, warehouses, and office buildings must undergo regular inspections, and fire-fighting equipment must always be kept ready.
In conclusion, this incident should serve as a lesson for all and highlight the need for a serious approach to safety issues. It is expected that the official cause of the incident will be disclosed soon. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
